The Million Dollar Question

John Norman in 1981 - click to read more

(Published on Monday, August 27, 2012)

If you could ask John Norman one single question, what would it be?

It's a game that has been played a thousand times on a thousand different forums, and it always yields the same kind of questions. Besides the intrigues of both Priest-Kings and Kurii, and all the unfinished business with the Pani; the most important issues, in the minds of the fans, seem to be the outcome of the Cos/Ar war, the ongoing personal conflicts between Tarl, Talena, Marlenus, et al, and, most importantly, when does Tarl Cabot returns as the main protagonist of the series?

The problem with these kind of questions, however, is that their answers are still revealing themselves to the author. Whether caused by unconsciously hidden creative processes, or the lack of new manuscripts from the alleged sister planet; John Norman is perhaps even more curious to the outcome of the aforementioned developments, than any of his eagerly awaiting fans.

So, when we had the opportunity to ask John Norman a question, about a week or so ago, we decided to ask the one question, which, if answered affirmatively, would eventually answer all the others. We asked: "Are you well?"

In an e-mail dated August 16, 2012, 10:09 AM, John Norman set our minds at ease:

With respect to health, and such, I am no longer good at doing back flips. My only comfort in this regard is that I could never do them anyway.

As far as we are concerned, this is the most important news we could bring you this week.

Check in next week when we hope to share some quotes from Smugglers of Gor.
