After reading Conspirators of Gor, published by E-Reads, only a handful of weeks ago, the first thing in the mind of each and every Gor fan would probably be "will there be a next book?"
Earlier, end of June, this year, John Norman celebrated his 81st birthday, and with Tarnsman of Gor published in December, 1966, it is safe to assume that Mr. Norman has been writing, at least, for 46 years. Will he ever stop? Perhaps not. Perhaps he can't stop writing. It seems that, paraphrasing Mr. Norman, "the Gorean books write themselves. He knows when a book is ready: then he sits down and watches it unfold. He is sometimes an amazed, delighted spectator. It is like something going on over which he has very little control. It is more like a welcome gift."
Well, a couple of months ago, Mr. Norman seemingly received yet another gift, and, as always, he is willing to share that gift with us, his eagerly awaiting fans.
John Norman's publisher, Richard Curtis, has just confirmed that Volume 32 of The Chronicles of Counter-Earth has been delivered and is being prepared for publication this year, "in the fall, as early as October."
Now please realize that the fellows at E-Reads are merely human; like us, they, too, once in a while, have to sleep, and eat, and such, and there's a lot to be done before a manuscript is ready for publication. E-Reads has a large catalog and publishes hundreds of books every year, and if anything goes wrong, they might not be able to keep to their schedule and the book might a few weeks late. But in any case, fans can now stop worrying. Book #32 is on its way!
Check in next week when we hope to know the title of the book, and some more details about its story.
